Basic Salad Dressing

Making your own salad dressing is quick, easy, and one of the very best ways to keep inflammatory fats and preservatives out of your diet. This basic recipe is really a template from which you can build any flavors that suit you. Or, it's tasty just as it is.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup extra virgin olive oil

⅓ cup vinegar (eg:                  balsamic, apple cider, etc)

1 teaspoon mustard

1 ½ teaspoon honey

pinch of salt (optional)

Ready in 20 minutes

extra virgin olive oil

1½ tsp.

raw honey

cup

vinegar

1 tsp.

mustard

Pinch

sea salt

PREPARATION 
  1. Blend or whisk everything together and enjoy your salad. Extra will keep in the refrigerator for weeks.

TIPS
  • This recipe can be made smaller too - the ratio of oil to vinegar is 3:1.

  • Try adding nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.

  • Try adding mayo at the end for a thicker dressing to top steamed vegetables.
