Kale Chips
Kale chips are a delicious snack and homemade allows you to find the flavors you like. Sometimes store bought versions are heavily flavored and a little overpowering. This recipe is pretty simple so you can experiment with any seasonings you like.
INGREDIENTS
½-1 bunch of curly kale
½ tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1½ tbsp. nutritional yeast
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. sea salt
Ready in 20 minutes

PREPARATION
*Preheat oven to 290 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Wash kale leaves, remove stems, tear into large pieces and place on dish towel in single layer.

Cover with another dish towel and gently pat kale to dry.

Put leaves in salad spinner to remove more water.

Put leaves in large mixing bowl, making sure leaves are fully dry.

Drizzle with olive oil and massage until all leaves are fully coated.

Add spices and toss thoroughly.

Spread kale leaves out in a single layer on parchment paper.

Bake for 10 minutes, then turn baking sheet around and cook another 10-15 minutes, watching to make sure smaller leaves aren’t burning.

Repeat cooking process for any kale that didn’t originally fit on baking sheet.
